- Start with a list you enjoy and check its current format in the game client.
- Mark your owned copies, including cards available through Core, before comparing the missing cost.
- Check whether expensive cards enable the deck's main interaction. A cheaper card with the same mana cost may not fill that role.
- Review recent card changes before spending dust. Try the deck with your collection first when possible.
